Completed in 2019, The OG represents a pivotal moment in residential ‘farmhouse’ architecture, one that set a new tone through restraint rather than excess. Designed with a focus on simplicity, the home demonstrates that timelessness is achieved not through embellishment, but through disciplined form and proportion.

Strong 12:12 pitched rooflines anchor the composition, while a limited material palette and minimal variation in colour and siding allow the architecture itself to take precedence. Every decision is intentional. The design relies on silhouette, scale, and balance to create presence, proving that quiet architecture can still command attention.

Years later, the home remains remarkably current. Its influence can be felt in the language of many homes that followed, where restraint, roof geometry, and material discipline became familiar markers of a more thoughtful approach to modern farmhouse design.

True to its name, The OG remains a benchmark and an enduring example of how thoughtful simplicity can shape not just a single home, but an architectural direction that continues to resonate over time.
